Jubilee Food Coop

Life is Better in Bulk

The Jubilee Food Coop is a purchasing cooperative in Grand Isle county. In a purchasing cooperative, neighbors combine their orders to buy goods in bulk, often at better prices and higher quality than they'd find individually. The Jubilee Food Coop focuses on organic beans, rice, grains, and spices — the pantry staples not generally grown by Grand Isle's local farms.

For now, we're pitching this idea to our neighbors and community institutions like the local Farmer's Market. We'll organize our first order once enough households get involved. If you're interested and would like to receive updates, please fill out the form below.

We believe cooperative institutions like these are essential to healthy communities. We're deeply inspired by groups like C.I.D.E.R, the Farmer's Market Repair Café, and Granny's Attic — neighbors helping neighbors and, often, doing what they love in the process. We hope the Jubilee Food Coop will complement those projects by bringing neighbors together to enjoy more healthy, affordable food.
